Top Tailgate Recipes for Game Days - 2022

One of our favorite aspects of the fall season is tailgate parties! Who doesn't love getting together with their crew to socialize and pre-game the upcoming football game?! Whether you are tailgating right outside the stadium, or hosting a watch party at your house, these appetizer recipes are perfect for entertaining a crowd!

From Jalapeno Poppers, to Berry Beer Punch, there is something for everyone in our top tailgate recipes list! You are sure to be the MVP with these quick and easy game day appetizers!

Jalapeno Poppers

Add some spice to your next tailgate party with fan favorite, Jalapeno Poppers! This appetizer is easy to make and bursting with flavor. You can prepare these ahead of time to make cooking a breeze. Serve with a side of ranch for even more flavor!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 12 large jalapeno peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  •  tsp ground black pepper
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line cookie sheet with foil and lightly grease with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
  • Add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and crumbled bacon in large bowl and mix until creamy.
  • Scoop cream cheese filling into middle of jalapenos and place on prepared cookie sheet. Top with leftover bacon bits and cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top. Let cool 5 minutes and dive in!

Pigs in a Blanket

What's better than Pigs in a Blanket? Pigs in a Blanket with Everything But The Bagel seasoning! These are quick and simple to make, and you will only need four ingredients. If you are not a fan of the seasoning, you can absolutely make these Pigs in a Blanket plain!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cans Crescent Rolls
  • 1 14 ounce package Lil Smokies
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheet with foil and lightly grease with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Open crescent rolls and cut each roll in half lengthwise. Place 1 sausage on large end of crescent roll and roll up to opposite end. Place rolls on prepared cookie sheet.
  • Brush pigs in a blanket with egg white and top with Everything But The Bagel Seasoning.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Let cool, but serve warm!

Crack Chicken Pinwheels

Add these Crack Chicken Pinwheels to your tailgate menu for a MAJOR score! You can make this delicious appetizer ahead of time and shorten the process by using rotisserie chicken for a no-bake recipe. You may even want to double up on the recipe because these will be gone FAST!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • tbsp Hidden Valley ranch mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ¾ cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1 cup chopped cooked chicken
  • 4 to 5 large burrito tortillas

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Mix softened cream cheese with the ranch mix, cheddar cheese, milk, bacon and chicken until well combined. Add more milk if desired.
  • Spread about ¼ cup of chicken mixture evenly on each tortilla.
  • Roll the tortilla up tightly to make sure it holds together and keeps its shape.
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up the softened cheese. Cut off ends of tortilla roll and cut into 1-inch slices.

Berry Beer Punch

Beer, berries, and vodka during the summer?! Sounds like a good idea to us! This big batch cocktail can be made in advance and is the ultimate refreshing drink for a large group. Beer and vodka are two of the top spirits for game days, so why not combine them? Berry Beer Punch is a win-win for everyone in your group! Here's the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 pack of bottled beer - We used Corona Light
  • 2 cans limeaid concentrate - thawed
  • 2 cans raspberry lemonade concentrate - thawed
  • 3 cups vodka
  • 8 cups water
  • Raspberries, strawberries, and lemons for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine liquids and concentrates in a punch bowl or pitcher. Allow to chill over ice.
  • Cut tops off of strawberries and slice lemons for garnishing
  • Serve with fresh fruit garnishes and enjoy!
